George Blight
The sad news has reached us that George Blight passed away on Friday morning 27th March 2009.
This image was kindly sent to me in memory of him from all his family in Andover.
The funeral details are:- Thursday 9th April, 11.30 at St Mary's church, followed by burial at Weyhill cemetary.
If you ever visited the Bumpkin George would have been one of the staff that you would have seen around the dance floor keeping things in order and sorting out any problems.
I can remember George on my visits to the Bumpkin, an imposing figure, and as seen in this photo always smartly dressed with a bow tie and jacket (smart dress only in the Bumpkin)
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
