Picketty Witch

Picketty Witch Pickettywitch was a late 1960s, early 1970s British bubblegum group, fronted by a female singer, Polly Brown (also billed as Polly Browne).
They became best known for their hit "That Same Old Feeling", which was written by Tony Macaulay and John Macleod.

It reached number five in the UK Singles Chart in 1970.Original members were Polly Brown-vocals, Chris Warren-vocals, Bobo Brittain -organ, Martin Bridges -guitar, Mike Tomich-bass and Keith Hall-drums.

Soho Jets

Soho Jets Grant Stevens (born 27 October 1953 in Sydney, Australia) left his homeland in the 70's for London where he recorded various albums and singles for his bands The Soho Jets and Razar, produced by The Who producer Kit Lambert.

From 1981-84 he worked as singer in the German band Nervous Germans.

He recorded the German hit Everlasting Friends which was used as a TV jingle for Holsten Pilsener in Europe.

Geno Washington Visit of pop extrovert Geno Washington.
One of the pop world’s most extrovert but entertaining characters visits the Country Bumpkin on Friday.

Geno Washington will be remembered for his unforgettable spell with the “Ram Jam Band” which incited a cult following that has lasted until today.
A former U.S. Airforce man from Indian, Geno arrived in Britain in 1961, and became a pop singer through one of those stories that seem to come from a comic book.
He was walking down Wardour Street one day when a man approached him and asked if he could sing. Geno replied “yes” and did so.

From pubs to clubs to touring with acts like the Animals, Otis Redding, the Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart they built up a tremendous following.

Miss Billie Davis

Miss Billie Davis Billie Davis's career started like many other of the female singers of her time.
At the young age of 16 she entered a local talent contest at Southall Community Centre, Pushed on stage by her best friend Billie sang a Connie Francis song 'Many Tears Ago'.

Along with Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers as her backing group for the performance, Billie Won the contest.
After winning she was advised by Cliff Bennett to go and see a man named Joe Meek.
"Cliff Bennet and The Rebel Rousers backed me. I won and after Cliff told me to go See this guy called Joe whose making some pretty amazing sounds. Joe Meek of course"
