Picketty Witch
Pickettywitch was a late 1960s, early 1970s British bubblegum group, fronted by a female singer, Polly Brown (also billed as Polly Browne).
They became best known for their hit "That Same Old Feeling", which was written by Tony Macaulay and John Macleod.
It reached number five in the UK Singles Chart in 1970.Original members were Polly Brown-vocals, Chris Warren-vocals, Bobo Brittain -organ, Martin Bridges -guitar, Mike Tomich-bass and Keith Hall-drums.
Martin Bridges and Mike Tomich were replaced later in 1970 by Peter Hawkins-guitar and Brian Stewart-bass.These two were replaced by Paul Risi-guitar and Paul Riordan-bass.
Two further singles also made the chart in that year - these were entitled "(It's Like A) Sad Old Kinda Movie" (written by Tony Macaulay and John Mcleod) (number 16), and "Baby I Won't Let You Down" (number 27).
Polly Brown went on to have a successful solo career with hits in the UK and America. Drummer Keith Hall then joined "Gerry and the Pacemakers" for 5 years and then went on to have an international career as a jazz drummer.
