Foundations
The Foundations are best known for their two biggest hits, "Baby, Now That I've Found You" (a Number One written by Tony MacCaulay and Mike McCleod, hit in the UK singles chart, and subsequently Top 10 in the U.S.); and "Build Me Up Buttercup" (a chart topper in the Billboard Hot 100), co-written by MacCaulay with Michael d'Abo, at the time the lead vocalist with Manfred Mann.
The make up of the group drew much interest and intrigue due to the size and structure of the group. Not only was there a diverse ethnic mix in the group but there was also diversity in ages and musical backgrounds.

Paul Burnett Radio 1 DJ
In 1974 Burnett joined BBC Radio 1 hosting a Sunday morning show and sitting in on the station's Top 20 show. From July 5, 1976 he hosted the weekday lunchtime show after Johnnie Walker left the station and moved to California.
Here he had the responsibility of revealing the new singles chart every Tuesday lunchtime. His popular show included several features such as Pub of the Day, Fun at One and Is, Was, Should Have. Burnett became a regular presenter of Top of the Pops and presented the Radio 1 Roadshow during the summer.

Amazingly The Country Bumpkin had, over the years of its existence, some of the biggest names from the world of Radio, entertaining the crowds with their road shows.
